Composting and Worm-farming

  • The Lost Plot Central Road Port Macquarie, NSW, 2444 Australia (map)

Learn how to compost and wormfarm and turn your kitchen scraps into amazing food for your garden and soil.

This two-hour workshop will give you the skills to manage a wormfarm and produce your own compost at home. Thanks to Midwaste, the workshop fee of $20 will give you access to a (highly subsidised) compost bin & aerator OR wormfarm and worms, so you can get active at home straight away. This is an amazing opportunity to start using your food scraps in a productive way.

The workshop will cover the value of composting, setting up, managing and maintenance of a compost bin or worm farm, ingredients and how to use compost products as well as trouble-shooting so participants are ready to create their own fantastic compost at home.

This is a joint project with Midwaste. This project is also supported by the New South Wales Government through its Environmental Trust.

PLEASE NOTE: There are only 15 spaces available in this workshop. To reserve a spot you need to make an online booking using this link.
