The Lost Plot Community Garden’s Spring Fair is a fantastic event for young and old and a great opportunity to see what’s happening at our local community garden, brush up on your gardening skills and enjoy an afternoon connecting to others in our community.
There will be market stalls with fresh produce, food, and natural products, entertainment for young and old and a range of free workshops.
1pm DIY Insect Hotel Workshop (booking required)
Rhiannon Simmon’s from Rhi Rebellion will present a hands-on workshop on insect hotels, which are used as habitat for beneficial insects in our gardens. This is a great one to get kids involved in. They’ll love stuffing pre-prepared boxes made from recycled timbers with sticks, pine cones, bamboo and other natural materials to create homes for insects in their garden. For bookings email email@example.com There are currently only 10 spots left!
2pm Attracting Pollinators Workshop
3pm No Dig Garden Beds Workshop
The entertainment on the day includes Music by local singer songwriter Lauren Edwards and plenty of games for kids. We will also have a raffle with some amazing prizes, incl. a large corrugated iron garden bed, a cordless drill, a Lost Plot membership and more.
Any help with volunteering on the day will be appreciated. Please be in touch via firstname.lastname@example.org if you'd like to be given a small job to do on the day. The morning working bee will be on as usual, and there will be plenty to do, so why not spend the whole day with us?!
We're looking forward to a great day in the garden and, of course, the beginning of Spring :-)
